SAINT PAUL, Minn.—The Land Stewardship Project is joining forces with dozens of Minnesota groups and thousands of others across the country as part of the Step It Up nationwide day of action Saturday, April 14, from noon to 4 p.m., at the State Capitol Mall in Saint Paul.
The goal of this event is to build a citizen movement to push critical state and federal policies that will help turn the corner on global warming. Featured speakers will be polar explorer Ann Bancroft and U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar. Also featured will be live local music from bands like Jenny Dalton and Cosmic Railroad, workshops led by experts on energy conservation and global warming, and dozens of booths with ideas we can all use to reduce carbon pollution and make Minnesota the nation's leader in combating global warming.
