MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Fresh, a new movie celebrating the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are re-inventing the food system, will be presented during two special screenings Tuesday, June 2, at Bryant Lake Bowl in Minneapolis (810 West Lake St.). The screenings, which will be at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., are sponsored by the Land Stewardship Project (LSP). A panel discussion on reforming the food system in the Twin Cities region will take place between the two showings.

Fresh is a documentary that uses character-driven narratives to show how people are working in their communities to create a healthy, sustainable food system. Among those featured are: Will Allen, the urban farm pioneer and founder of Growing Power in Milwaukee, Wis.; Joel Salatin, sustainable livestock farming innovator; and David Ball, a supermarket owner who reinvented his business and revitalized the local economy by partnering with area farmers.
