This Land Stewardship Project workshop is designed for farmers interested in delving deeper into the microbial world to better understand healthy soil. Soil microbiologist Elaine Ingham is the founder and director at Soil Foodweb, Inc. A native Minnesotan, Ingham is a graduate of St. Olaf College, and has a PhD from Colorado State University. She's taught soil microbiology at Colorado State, the University of Georgia and Oregon State University, and was chief scientist at the Rodale Institute in Pennsylvania from 2011-2013. She is an author of the USDA's Soil Biology Primer. At Soil Foodweb, Inc., Ingham assists both conventional and organic farmers in boosting soil health.
