Restoration Agriculture with Mark Shepard

Mark Shepard is the renowned author of Restoration Agriculture: Real World Permaculture for Farmers. Mark is the CEO of Forest Agriculture Enterprises LLC and founder of Restoration Agriculture Development, Inc. He runs New Forest Farm, the 106-acre perennial agricultural savanna considered by many to be one of the most ambitious sustainable agriculture projects in the United States. A sought-after speaker both nationally and internationally, Mark has graciously offered to come to Winona to show support for development of the Sustainable Agriculture program at MSCS.

In addition to his Thursday evening presentation, Mark is also available for a very limited number of individuals who want to dive deeper into permaculture design on Friday, Sept. 21. A workshop on local permaculture design concepts will be held at MSCS from 8 a.m. to noon. (This workshop is a separate event from the Speaker Series.)
