Are you a beginning farmer looking to rent or purchase farmland in the Midwest? Or are you an established farmer/landowner in the Midwest who is seeking a beginning farmer to purchase or rent your land, or to work with in a partnership situation?

The Land Stewardship Project’s Farm Beginnings program has simple application forms available for people seeking farmland or farmers. (You can find the forms to the left).

Once the form is filled out, the information can be circulated by LSP via the Land Stewardship Letter, LIVE-WIRE and through our various networks. To obtain a form and for more information, e-mail LSP’s Dori Eder at dori@landstewardshipproject.org or call 612-578-4497.

Organic Farmland or Rent: Western Wisconsin

Juliet Tomkins has for rent certified organic farmland in western Wisconsin's Pierce County (near River Falls, 45 minutes east of Minnesota's Twin Cities). Seeking Farmer: Northern Iowa

Margaret Smith is seeking a farm employee for her certified organic crop and livestock operation in northern Iowa (near Hampton). This position would be good for someone who wants to help grow a farm business and wants to farm independently in the future. The farm produces corn, soybeans, small grains, hay and beef cattle. It uses long term rotations, cover crops, managed grazing, ridge tillage and no-till. Organic seed production is contracted with seed companies.
