Farm Transitions and Renting It Out Right Workshop Series: Conservation Programs & Easements for Farmland

Established farmers and non-operating landowners mark your calendars for Tuesday evenings starting February 2nd from 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. for a Farm Transition Planning series of workshop topics that include goal setting, financial planning, legal aspects, long-term care considerations, introduction to soil health, and planning for conservation. There will be an opportunity to listen to and interact with guest speakers, including farmers and a chance to network with others.

Conservation Programs & Easements for Farmland: There are many programs available for both landowners and farmers that can help you achieve your conservation goals. These programs include EQIP (Environmental Quality Incentives Program), conservation easements, and other regional or watershed specific programs. Join Soil and Water Conservation District employees, Natural Resources Conservation Service staffers, and other program specialists to talk about what options exist and how and where to apply for them. Participants will be presented with program options and be able to ask questions of conservation agency employees.
