July 26, 9 am-3 pm
Get advice and practical ideas from women farmers and educators to help you achieve your farming dreams. We’ll cover a variety of farming topics, including tool use and ergonomics from a female farmer lens, and how to care for that most important tool: yourself! We’ll also share ideas for creating additional income from farming through agritourism, farmstays, on-farm food service, and value-added products. Plus, we’ll learn about Humble Hands Harvest CSA.
The MOSES In Her Boots format builds on the idea that women farmers learn best from each other. These day-long, on-farm workshops include a detailed farm tour, hands-on demonstrations and discussions, lunch, and networking opportunities. Bring your questions! Women just starting on their farm or food business dream are especially encouraged to attend.
