Equipment Demonstration, Soil Health and Drought Resiliency Martin Larsen

Join Member-Farmer Martin Larsen at his farm to learn about his equipment - Larsen will be showing his interseeder, no-till drill, and corn planter. Larsen will also discuss how to continue to prioritize soil health even in years with extreme weather conditions and how soil health has made his farm more resilient to these conditions.

Lunch will be served by the food truck Tacos Moreno after the presentation and tour.

The Farm:

Martin Larsen is a fifth-generation farmer using no-till and cover cropping practices to grow conventional corn, soybeans, oats and rye near Byron, Minnesota. Martin also works for the Olmsted County Soil and Water Conservation District, where he has done research on cover crops and nitrate reduction in local waterways, and he serves as president of the Minnesota Caving Club.
