MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Spring is just around the corner, which means it’s time to sign-up for a 2022 share in a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm. The Land Stewardship Project (LSP) has recently published the 2022 edition of its CSA directory for farms that service the Twin Cities, outstate Minnesota and western Wisconsin region. It’s available at https://landstewardshipproject.org/csa-farm-directory. This year’s searchable directory lists over 40 farms that provide vegetables, as well as meat, eggs and other products, to shareholders.
By joining a CSA operation, consumers are assured of receiving regular shares of fresh, nutritional food throughout the growing season while supporting local farmers in the community. CSA members pay a fee before the season, and in return farms provide food via a variety of delivery and pick-up options.
Several farms provide flexible payment options and opportunities to become involved via harvest days and other activities. LSP’s directory not only provides farm descriptions and contact information, but tips for choosing the CSA operation that’s right for you. CSA shares often sell out by late spring, so the time to sign-up is now.
