BENSON, Minn. — Thinking about a long-term plan for your farm or land? The Land Stewardship Project (LSP) is holding a farm transition workshop Saturday, April 1, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., in the basement of the Benson County Law Enforcement Center (301 14th Street North) This event is free and open to the public. To reserve a spot or for more information, contact LSP’s Robin Moore at 320-321-5244 or rmoore@landstewardshipproject.org.
No matter your age, farm transition is a difficult journey and it isn’t surprising if you have a lot of questions. LSP knows that it benefits the entire community to address land transition issues earlier, rather than later. For this workshop, LSP has invited a local healthcare provider, an attorney, and a financial adviser to speak specifically to long-term health considerations, legal first steps, and long-term investment considerations.
Each of these speakers has specific experience in relation to farm and land transition, and attendees will have ample time to present questions. Join us and find support in your efforts to plan for what happens next on your farm.
