Thanks for finding the Land Stewardship Project at Farm Aid 40. We’re happy you’re here!

Land Stewardship Project (LSP) is a grassroots membership organization. Our mission is to foster an ethic of stewardship for farmland, to promote sustainable agriculture, and to develop healthy communities. LSP is dedicated to creating transformational change in our food and farming system with farmer and community-led solutions.

This work has a broad and deep impact, from new farmer training and local organizing to federal policy and community-based food systems and fair market development. At the core of all our work are the values of stewardship, justice, fairness, democracy, health and community.

Take Action to help break down barriers and create the future of agriculture we want and need! Click on the link below for a current action you can take part in.

We invite you to learn more about what we do and get involved!

LSP’s approach to our work involves promoting the best and fighting the worst in agriculture today. That means through farmer-led initiatives we are actively working to create opportunities and off-ramps for more famers to implement stewardship practices on their farms. At the same time, we organize with communities to fight the worst, like out of control corporate power and harmful factory farms.

LSP members are breaking down barriers in our farm and food system. We know we need more farmers on the land stewarding our soil and water. That means addressing land access and consolidation in ag while developing new, reliable markets for farmers and advancing policy that is good for people and land.
