The Land Stewardship Project’s annual Family Farm Breakfast & Lobby Day (being held March 11 this year) offers an opportunity to share our vision for a better farm and food system with lawmakers and move our legislative agenda forward. Having strong lobby meetings with your elected officials makes a difference! It’s how we get more legislators signed onto our bills while building new relationships. If you have never lobbied before, we are happy to have you join us for a training before March 11; we have lots of resources to make sure you feel confident and ready to meet with your elected officials.
Even if you have lobbied before, we encourage you to sign up for a one-hour virtual training shift to learn more about LSP’s legislative priorities this year, practice telling your story, and connect with other LSP members. If none of these times work for you, reach out to LSP’s Laura Schreiber at lschreiber@landstewardshipproject.org to schedule a time to connect before lobby day.
