We hope you’ll join us for this year’s Perennial Farm Gathering Dec. 6 and 7, at the Sinsinawa Mound Center near Dubuque, Iowa. This year’s PFG will feature keynote speaker Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquín (President and CEO of Regenerative Agriculture Alliance), panels and workshops with Midwest agroforestry experts, perennial food and beverage tastings, and the ever-popular five-minute Nutshell Show & Tell talks, which are open to all attendees.
This year's speakers will include Eliza Greenman, Terry Durham, Tom Wahl, Mike Lilja, Thelma Heidel-Baker, Paul Dietmann, Suzan Erem, Greg Padget, Dayna Burtness, Jason Fischbach, and Kevin Wolz. Session topics will include chestnut, hazelnut, and elderberry production, silvopasture, financing perennial agriculture, land access and land tenure agreements, online marketing, beneficial insects, and more.
Our keynote speaker for this year's gathering will be Reginaldo (Regi) Haslett-Marroquín. Regi’s innovative Regenerative Poultry System, which incorporates hazelnuts, elderberries, and other perennial crops into free-range poultry production, is the centerpiece of a number of national and international initiatives. This system is designed to be uniquely aligned with the social, economic and ecological conditions of marginalized communities and is intended for large-scale impact. Regi currently works on system-level strategies designed for global application in Minnesota, South Dakota, eastern Nebraska, British Columbia, Mexico, and Guatemala.
