FREE SACRED COW home film screening May 12 – 19
Land Stewardship Project will present a FREE screening of the film Sacred Cow to LSP members and supporters May 12 – 19 followed by an online presentation and Q & A with Diana Rodgers, co-author of the book Sacred Cow: The Case for (Better) Meat from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
At our grocery stores and dinner tables, even the most thoughtful consumers are overwhelmed by the number of considerations to weigh when choosing what to eat—especially when it comes to meat. Guided by the noble principle of least harm, many responsible citizens resolve the ethical, environmental and nutritional conundrum by quitting meat entirely. But can a healthy, sustainable and conscientious food system exist without animals?
Sacred Cow probes the fundamental moral, environmental and nutritional quandaries we face in raising and eating animals. In this film project, we focus our lens on the largest and perhaps most maligned of farmed animals, the cow.
Diana Rodgers, RD, is a “real food” nutritionist and sustainability advocate near Boston, Massachusetts. She’s an author of three books, runs a clinical nutrition practice, hosts the Sustainable Dish Podcast, and is an advisory board member of Animal Welfare Approved and Savory Institute. She speaks internationally about the intersection of optimal human nutrition and regenerative agriculture. Diana is co-author of, Sacred Cow: The Case for (Better) Meat and the director, producer of the companion film, Sacred Cow.
This is our opportunity to acknowledge the power of regenerative agriculture to heal ourselves and our soil from the industrial food system.
