Urge MN Committee Chairs to Pass Soil Health Legislation

Land Stewardship Project members have developed and organized to win a landmark, one-of-a-kind soil-based solution for agriculture and the climate that will have big impacts in Minnesota and set the bar nationwide. Key parts of our farmer-built proposal are included in Minnesota House budget bills, but not in Minnesota Senate budget bills.

We need to ensure pieces of the "Soil Healthy Farming Bill" in House proposals make it into the final budget bills. To push it over the finish line, we have to show the legislators on the deciding conference committee that there is widespread public support in the farming community to publicly invest in farming that provides public benefits.

Senator Carrie Ruud (R-Breezy Point) and Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen (R-Alexandria) are chairs of the committees making final decisions. They need to hear from farmers that we need to pass this legislation now. Can you take a few minutes to call them?
