Policy Organizer (October 2024)
The Land Stewardship Project is seeking a policy organizer to develop and implement visionary, strategic, grassroots campaigns for a just food and farming system. The organizers of the Policy Department work as a team to win campaigns on issues including supporting small and mid-sized farmers, fighting climate change, stopping factory farms, breaking down the corporate concentration in agriculture, and more. As an organization with deep rural roots going back 40 years, LSP plays a unique and critical role in building a powerful statewide movement in Minnesota. This is a hybrid work position and will require work from the Lewiston or Montevideo office, work in the field, and work from home. The application deadline is Nov. 7, 2024.

Grants Specialist (October 2024)
Reporting to the development director, the grants specialist supports the Land Stewardship Project in achieving its mission by securing funding, stewarding positive relationships with funders, and leading essential administrative aspects of the fundraising process. The grants specialist will lead proposal and report writing and relationship stewardship for a portfolio of 5-10 institutional funders, track key deadlines and deliverables for LSP’s institutional fundraising, and assist with financial tracking for select grants. Government Relations Director (October 2024)
The government relations director is a new leadership position at the Land Stewardship Project, holding primary responsibility for cultivating and sustaining relationships with elected and appointed decision makers, and to developing and executing legislative strategy. Initial priority is to focus on the Minnesota Legislature, as well as executive and administrative structures, and will extend to federal activity as opportunity and strategy dictate. The government relations director collaborates with LSP staff in organizing, communications, and other capacities to integrate legislative and administrative strategy with our other strengths. The government relations director works with member-leaders, farmers, and partner organizations to plan and deliver legislative and administrative tactics that further the objectives of LSP. Associate Policy Organizer (October 2024)
LSP is seeking an associate organizer to support our policy work on visionary, strategic, grassroots campaigns for a just food and farming system. The organizers of the Policy Department work as a team to win campaigns on issues including supporting small and mid-sized farmers, fighting climate change, stopping factory farms, breaking down corporate concentration in agriculture, and more.
