Nitrate levels in southeast Minnesota’s groundwater are rising — and thousands of families depend on that water for drinking.
The good news: we have a proven solution. The Olmsted County Soil Health Program has helped farmers reduce nitrate leaching across thousands of acres since 2023. Now, the Minnesota legislature has an opportunity to expand that program to 10 neighboring counties with $2.8 million in voter-approved Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund money.
But the session ends soon. We need legislators to hear from constituents right now.
Use the form below to send a message directly to your state legislators. It takes less than 2 minutes.
What happens: A message will be sent to your legislators urging them to support this funding in the final ENRTF bill.
